Chamber presents money raised at Heckle Hole to member non-profits
The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce hosted its 35th annual golf outing on Monday, June 23 at the Wausau Country Club. More than 140 golfers participated in the 18-hole scramble which featured a new Heckle Hole on the third tee this year. Chase Outdoors was the inaugural sponsor of the Heckle Hole.
The Heckle Hole was staffed by local media personalities and volunteers throughout the day. These individuals hassled those teeing off, if the total dollars donated by the foursome in front topped the total dollars donated by the foursome behind. A portion of all the funds collected at the Heckle Hole went towards the non-profit of the heckler’s choice.
“Chase Outdoors is excited to be part of the Heckle Hole as a reminder that water is not a hazard,” said Justin Gaiche, Owner of Chase Outdoors. “Water is where fish live and thus, the golf clubs should be sold and fishing rods and reels should replace them!"
Those who participated as ‘hecklers’and the non-profit they raised funds for include:
- Bryan Scott of 101.9 WDEZ, Christmas In July Charity
- Brad Hanson and Tara Schessler of WAOW TV 9, Never Forgotten Honor Flight
- Mark Vicker and Mike Alvarez of Muzzy Broadcasting (97.9 WSPT, B-104.9, 92.1 WPCN), American Red Cross – North Central Chapter
- Justin Gaiche of Chase Outdoors, Let’s Go Fishing
