Wellness Conference Designed to Boost Your Bottom Line
The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce invites professionals from around central Wisconsin to attend a new conference focused on the future of workplace health, namely preventative wellness. The conference, titled ‘Leading in Wellness: Healthier People. Stronger Organizations.’ will be held on Thursday, September 10 at the Sundance Chalet at Granite Peak Ski Area. The event’s presenting sponsor is Elevé Vitality & Aesthetics. Todd Whitthorne, an expert in both increasing productivity and reducing employee absenteeism, will be the featured speaker at this event, which will also include a panel discussion.
"What I love most about working in healthcare is learning how to help those in our community to prevent illness, instead of waiting until people get sick and handling illness in a reactionary way,” said Ellie Reineck, Director of Patient Experience at Elevé Vitality & Aesthetics and Surgical Associates. “If you are a leader at a business or organization, you’ll learn at this conference how to help your employees live healthier lives, which will have a clear positive impact on your bottom line.”
This high-impact program will bring together leaders in human resources, healthcare, insurance and workplace strategy to explore how proactive approaches to well-being are transforming organizations and the people within them.
"Every organization invests in insurance to protect its assets,” said Glendon Peterson, Chief Financial Officer, IncredibleBank. “One of the smartest investments you can make is protecting the health of your leaders. Healthy leadership is an insurance policy for better decisions, stronger teams and sustained organizational success."
As the conversation around health continues to shift from reactive care to prevention, this conference will equip attendees with the insight, strategies and perspective needed to stay ahead. Through thought-provoking keynotes, shared learning and meaningful connections, those who attend will gain a deeper understanding of how to support healthier employees, strengthen organizational culture and drive long-term impact.
The conference’s featured speaker, Whitthorne spent fourteen years as a senior executive at the Cooper Aerobics Center and had an Emmy-award winning broadcasting career. He has combined his experience in population health, along with a deep understanding of employee benefits, to help develop solutions which have enhanced the lives of over one million Americans since 2001.
Whether you’re shaping benefits, delivering care, or leading your organization forward, this event will challenge your thinking and inspire new ways to build a healthier, more resilient workforce.
Lunch is included at this event which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Networking time for attendees will follow the program. The cost for Chamber members to attend this conference is $150. Non-members may attend for $175. Entire tables are available. Visit this link to register or to learn more. Attendees must be 21 years old.
