Winning foursome named at Chamber’s Golf Outing
The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce held its 35th annual golf outing on Monday, June 23 at the Wausau Country Club. More than 140 golfers participated in the 18-hole scramble. Lunch, beverages, contests and a reception buffet were included at the outing.
"The Sentry School of Business and Economics and UWSP have had a long-time physical presence in Marathon County as well as having deep connections to the business community,” said Kevin Neuman, Head of the Sentry School of Business and Economics at UW-Stevens Point. "Sponsoring the Chamber event while getting to play on a beautiful golf course is a great way to celebrate that partnership and have a lot of fun at the same time."
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point team made up of Jason Davis, Neuman, Brian Sloss and Max Trzebiatowski won the best ball competition. A foursome of Michaela Bloch, Amber Blocker, Emily Meidl and Jacie Tesch from the Rennes Group had the highest score of the day.
This year’s event included a best dressed award and best on course award honoring creativity in the activities among this year’s hole sponsors. These awards were sponsored by Wausau Supply Company and Roastar was the recipient of both awards.
