Build Your Career While Building Our Community

Group1

Want a career where your work directly strengthens local businesses—and your paycheck grows with your performance? The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Business Development & Sales Manager to lead membership and sponsorship sales across the region.

This role is for someone who:

  • Builds relationships with ease
  • Knows how to listen, pitch and close
  • Wants meaningful work

"In a time of organizational transition and alignment to the chamber’s 2026 strategic plan, we seek an energetic and dynamic business development professional that will help to grow our organization and community," said Dave Eckmann, President and CEO of the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce.

The Business Development & Sales Manager is a redesigned sales role created to expand the Chamber’s revenue capacity. As the Chamber’s primary revenue‑generating and relationship‑building professional, this position drives growth through membership sales, sponsorship sales, and strategic partnerships. This is a full, direct sales role requiring active outreach, consistent prospecting, tailored pitching and closing with both new and existing businesses. The work is strategic, fast-paced and highly community‑facing, centered on cultivating strong relationships, identifying business needs and aligning Chamber solutions to provide value.

This person will be highly visible across the region and spend most of their time outside the office meeting with businesses, building connections, and generating new opportunities for the Chamber. This role offers the potential for future leadership opportunities based on performance and organizational needs.
