A group of participants in the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce’s 2024-2025 Transformational Leadership program presented a $2,000 check to Patriots for Warriors at the Chamber’s historic depot headquarters in downtown Wausau on Monday, April 14.

The group fundraised through a series of Dine & Donate events. The team included  Mitch Block of Wausau Coated Products, Jacee Feit of Lemke Industrial Machine LLC, Amber Gober of Peoples State Bank, Karie Koppa of North Central Health Care, Lizzette Lopez of Great Lakes Cheese, and Maikou Yang of the Marathon County Department of Social Services.

“We’re grateful to our veterans and we hope this donation expresses our deep appreciation,” said Gober. “We are extremely thankful to the local businesses and our community for their support from our Dine & Donate events.”

Patriots for Warriors is a support organization for veterans, working to assist and impact the lives of those who have served in central Wisconsin. The non-profit is led by a group of volunteers in the Wausau area and aims to give veterans a ‘hand up, not a hand out.’

The Transformational Leadership program is built to offer an arsenal of personal growth strategies for participants, equipping them with the ability to create and inspire change in themselves, their workplaces and the community. Individuals at any level of leadership benefit from a better understanding of their personal leadership style and the impact they have on those around them. Attendees grow through a renewed understanding of the region’s history, its founders and the impact each participant can have on the generations which will follow.

Transformational Leadership is facilitated by Bridget Wenman, President of Perspectives Training and Consulting LLC. She has more than 20 years of experience coaching executives and their teams. Wenman uses a wide variety of solutions to help those she works with to define their culture, refine their workforce and increase productivity.

A graduation ceremony for this year’s participants will be held on the evening of Tuesday, May 20 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Rothschild. Guests are invited to register for this event on WausauChamber.com.

Registration for the 2025-2026 Transformational Leadership is also open. For more information on the program, visit WausauChamber.com or contact Sharon Baumann at 715-845-6231 or sbaumann@wausauchamber.com.

Transformational Leadership is sponsored at the gold level by Aspirus/Aspirus Health Plan, Associated Bank, Greenheck Group, Linetec and Wausau Window & Wall Systems.

Members of the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce can participate in program at a reduced rate.
