Feel Better to Focus Better
During a recent meeting with Peter Kraus of Peter Kraus Fitness, I learned about his complimentary Meeting Movement Reset. In just 10 minutes, participants have a chance to get up, move, and refocus before returning to the meeting.
What stood out to me was the impact a simple movement break can have on engagement and retention of information. We've all been in meetings where energy starts to fade and attention drifts. Taking a few minutes to move can help participants recharge, clear their minds, and return with a renewed sense of focus.
Whether it's a staff meeting, training session, conference or workshop, these brief breaks can make a noticeable difference in how people absorb information and participate in discussions. It's a simple concept, but one that can have a meaningful impact on productivity and overall meeting effectiveness.
The best part is that it requires no special equipment, athletic ability or extra planning. It's an easy, inclusive way to help people feel better, stay engaged, and get more out of the time they're already spending together.
