Dozens of employers participate in New Jobs on the Block event
Advance Wisconsin Employment hosted a unique job fair on the 400 Block in downtown Wausau on Thursday, September 17. Those seeking employment had a chance to learn about available local positions at the New Jobs on the Block event with more than 60 businesses at the event and more than 800 open positions.
The Wausau Fire Department conducted a signing event to recognize nine individuals who are enrolling in a new apprenticeship program.
Advance Wisconsin Employment partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Forward Service Corporation, CW Solutions, the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce, Northcentral Technical College, the Wisconsin Automotive & Truck Education Association, the Central Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance and the Wausau River District for the event. The event sponsor was Hy-Vee Inc. Sunrise Communications and WAOW/WYOW Television Inc were the media sponsors for the event.
