New Jobs on the Block returns this month

The North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, along with their workforce partner agencies at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Forward Service Corporation, CW Solutions, Northcentral Technical College, the Wausau River District and the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce, will host a unique job fair on the 400 Block in downtown Wausau next month. The New Jobs on the Block event will return in 2025 and will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 11.

Those seeking employment will have a chance to learn about available local positions with more than 30 businesses at the event.

“This event in downtown Wausau’s premier public space offers a unique opportunity for employers and job seekers to connect,” said Lukas Lindner, Business Development Director with the Chamber.

Many of the participating businesses will offer interactive activities, giveaways and on-the-spot interviews at the event. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development will also have its mobile careers lab on hand.

89Q-Radio and WAOW/WYOW Television Inc are the media sponsors for the event.
