The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce held its 35th annual golf outing on Monday, June 23 at the Wausau Country Club. More than 140 golfers participated in the 18-hole scramble. Lunch, beverages, contests and a reception buffet were included at the outing.

"Participating in the Golf Outing isn't just about sinking putts and enjoying the fairways; it's about strengthening community bonds and fostering business relationships," said Andrew Hale, Business Development Executive with The Dirks Group. "Our involvement underscores our commitment to local partnerships and the vibrant spirit of Wausau."

The Jim Kryshak Jewelers team made up of Ryan Brandenburg, Brian Kamke, Jeremy Smith and Sam Zimmerman won the best ball competition with a 10 under par score of 62. A foursome of Michaela Block, Allison Bremer, Emily Meidl and Jacie Tesch from the Rennes Group had the highest score of the day at plus-48.

Other participants were recognized for their achievements on specific holes and several raffle drawings were held at the reception which followed the outing. New in 2025, a Heckle Hole was sponsored by Chase Outdoors and staffed by local members of the media. The hole raised more than $350 for local non-profits.

The Dirks Group was the presenting sponsor of the golf outing. Ho-Chunk Gaming - Wittenberg and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Sentry School of Business & Economics were the platinum sponsors; Chase Outdoors was the gold sponsor; and Security Health Plan was the lunch sponsor for the event.
