The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce will host its 35th annual golf outing on Monday, June 23 at the Wausau Country Club. More than 140 golfers will participate in the 18-hole scramble which will feature a new Heckle Hole on the third tee this year. Chase Outdoors is the inaugural sponsor of the Heckle Hole.

The Heckle Hole will be staffed by local media personalities and volunteers throughout the day. These individuals will hassle those teeing off at hole three at the Country Club if the total dollars donated by the foursome in front tops the total dollars donated by the foursome behind. A portion of all the funds collected at the Heckle Hole will go towards the non-profit of the heckler’s choice.

“Chase Outdoors is excited to be part of the Heckle Hole as a reminder that water is not a hazard,” said Justin Gaiche, Owner of Chase Outdoors. “Water is where fish live and thus, the golf clubs should be sold and fishing rods and reels should replace them!"

Those participating as ‘hecklers’and the non-profit they’ll raise funds for include:

Lunch, beverages, contests and a reception buffet will be included at the outing, which has sold out all foursomes with just a pair of individual golfer positions remaining. The remaining golfer positions are each included in a pair of available gold-level sponsorships. Please contact Kaycee Packard at 715-848-5955 or kpackard@wausauchamber.com to learn more about sponsorship opportunities for this event.

The Dirks Group is the presenting sponsor of the golf outing. Ho-Chunk Gaming - Wittenberg and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Sentry School of Business & Economics are the platinum sponsors; Chase Outdoors is a gold sponsor; and Security Health Plan is the lunch sponsor for the event.
