Ribbon cutting: Wausau Softball Club team name unveiled
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Wausau Woodchucks to celebrate the unveiling of the team name for the Wausau Softball Club on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The women's softball team's name is Ignite Wausau Softball.
The Chamber will host a Member Appreciation Night at Athletic Park on Tuesday, June 10. This night will mark the opening night for the Ignite.
This game package for members includes a game ticket, seats in the first base patio and access to a 90 minute buffet featuring brats, burgers, hot dogs, chips and coleslaw with soda and water. Tickets are only $25 and space is limited to the first 50 who sign up.

The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce hosted its 35th annual golf outing on Monday, June 23 at the Wausau Country Club. The 18-hole scramble introduced a new Heckle Hole on the third tee. Chase Outdoors was the inaugural sponsor of the Heckle Hole.
