COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN OPENS COVID-19 COMMUNITY RESPONSE FUND TO ADDRESS LOCAL NEED
THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS POISED TO HELP
While there are many unknowns involving COVID-19 and its potential impact on our community, please be assured that the Community Foundation is working to assess the needs of our community as they arise in the coming weeks. We recognize there may be a long-term impact on our area and those organizations that will be affected. We are communicating with our local funding partners and nonprofit leaders to learn about the needs that exist and developing a plan to help address them.
The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin has established the COVID-19 Community Response Fund. You can trust us to work with community leaders to invest your generosity where it will make a difference in our community in this time of uncertainty. If you would like to help, please donate at https://cfoncw.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create?funit_id=1891 or send your donation by check to the Community Foundation office at 500 1st Street, Suite 2600, Wausau, WI 54403. Please note that it is for the COVID-19 Community Response Fund.
WORKING WITH THE NONPROFIT SECTOR
We acknowledge that nonprofit resources may be stressed in this time – as they provide support for those with immediate needs – thus the reason for the Community Response Fund. We have asked them to let us know what the unplanned needs they will be addressing in the coming weeks – and how extra funding, not covered by other sources, help them in their work.
OFFICE CONTINUITY PLAN
Due to the nation-wide protocols implemented for social distancing at this time, to try and slow down the spread of the virus, the Community Foundation has implemented a NO face-to-face meetings policy for March 16 through April 5. Our staff will be available by phone or email – and our services will continue. Feel free to contact us at 715.845.9555.
You can trust us to work with community leaders to invest your generosity where it will make a difference in our community in this time of uncertainty.
