    Job Description
    The Quality Technician is responsible for playing a vital role in the development and manufacturing of products to ensure they meet quality standards before reaching the customers including various roles throughout the many stages of production including design.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
     
    1. Pulls samples from plant floor for inspection, measures samples, and sets up and performs multiple quality inspections.*
    2. Compiles statistical data accurately for PPAP, ISIR, and FAI.*
    3. Records NCR’s accurately and within 24 hours of the non-conformance.*
    4. Completes research and submits ECR’s within determined time frame.*
    5. Constructs charts and graphs using Microsoft Excel.*
    6. Performs process capability analyses per customer requirements.*
    7. Prepares reports on testing results and PPAP’s per customer requirements.*
    8. Defines problems and reports all issues with material to management for analysis and disposition.*
    9. Completes root cause analysis investigation on NCR's and customer complaints.*
    10. Performs internal process audits on shop floor.*
    11. Communicates with any and all departments directly related to NCR's, customer complaints, and prototypes.*
    Education/Experience:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience in a manufacturing setting and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
     
    Specialized Training:
    • Blueprint reading
    • ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor,  preferred
    • In-process audits
    • PPAP (Required)
     
    Equipment:
    • Caliper
    • Tape measure
    • Height gauge
    • Square
    • Protractor
    • Pin and Thread gauges
    • Romer Arm 
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
     
    • Knowledge of FAI (First Article Inspection) and ISIR (Initial Sampling Inspection Report)
    • Knowledge of all levels of PPAP
    • Knowledge of ECR (Engineering Change Request) and NCR (Non-Conformance Report)
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
