The Women’s Leadership Breakfast was begun ten years ago to empower women and deepen their leadership presence in all aspects of their lives. Rasmussen College has been a place where women and men have learned as equals since its founding 120 years ago. In previous years, this event was hosted in the Minneapolis area. This year, we are excited to host the event virtually, allowing us to expand our reach to community partners from all over the country.
This year’s event theme—More than a Seat at the Table—is more important today than ever before.
Brands and organizations are feeling the pressure to diversify their leadership and bring more women—especially women of color—to the table. But true representation and equity require more than a checked box or a filled seat. This event reflects our community’s dedication to trust, accountability and sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion practices.
Our guest speaker, Austin Channing Brown, is a speaker, writer and media producer providing inspired leadership on racial justice in America. She is the author of the New York Times bestseller I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness—recently chosen as a Reese’s Book Club pick—and the executive producer of the web series The Next Question.
Hope you will be able to join us,
