Consumer Safety Pledge
For local businesses committed to protecting the safety and well-being of their guests and employees
The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce encourages local businesses, that are committed to protecting the safety and well-being of their guests and employees, to take the Consumer Safety Pledge.
Local businesses interested in taking the pledge, can complete this online application to receive a Consumer Safety Pledge window cling. This window cling can be displayed at places of business to reassure customers that business owners are taking added precautions to provide a safe environment for their guests and employees.
By taking the Consumer Safety Pledge, businesses commit to following the recommended industry-specific reopen guidelines from Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation compiled with input from national and state health and industry experts and in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism and our regional economic development partners.
Once an application is approved, a window cling will be mailed directly to the place of business. If a business has multiple locations, an application should be submitted for each location.
In addition to the window cling, approved applications will receive a digital marketing toolkit including print materials and downloadable assets to use on their company websites and social media channels.
There is no cost to apply and participation is voluntary. The Consumer Safety Pledge program is open to both members of the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce and non-members.
